Last weekend we went to the mountains, to a very trendy and very un-swiss mountain lodge, see www.hamiltonlodge.ch, run by Dutch people. We really liked it there.
You can only reach the lodge by cable car and then another 10 min walk, so exciting for kids.
This weekend the cows came up the mountains (2013 m high) where they will stay for the rest of the summer. Unfortunately we could not take pictures of this tradition as it was complety covered with clouds this sundaymorning. But no way we could sleep as they arrived at 5 o'clock in the morning clinging their big cowbells...and passing 50 m from our bedroom :(
The kids loved just being around on the mountaintop. Scarlett was very frustrated as she could walk to the skilift but could not ski.
At 10 a divine service was held at the "chapel" (outside) to bless the cows, the mountains, the farmers etc etc. After the ceremony the cows started fighting to determine who is the leading lady during the summer on the belalp. One cow rolled over, was badly injured and was transported down the mountain by hanging under the helicopter which was impressive to see but we were just recharing the cameras battery pack at that time...
So enjoy some pictures of the simple, but relaxing life.

Hallo,
Via de website findaupair.com kwam ik jullie gezin tegen. Via google kwam ik op deze site terecht. Ik vroeg me af of jullie al een au pair gevonden hebben.
